Christmas Time

As the radio announcer said, "Christmas is just around the corner." A helpful reminder, I'm sure, although it is unlikely that you or I have forgotten.

The season is well and truly upon us. Our levels of activity rise, our thoughts turn from the mundane to the magical. Every now and then we reminisce. Festive sights, smells and sounds remind us of Christmas past when, as children, excitement and anticipation prevaled. The innocent enthusiasm of little children at this time of year acts as a timely reminder of many of the virtues of life to be aspired to. Their happiness and purity act as a model to follow , where they lead the grown ups for a change.

For us, the festivities loom large. We at Olivier are understandably busy. Tasha is out and about locally, demonstrating our soap and skincare range, eagerly unveiling our products. For us this is just the tip of the iceberg, a taste of things to come. Even at this early stage we are catching glimpses of relationships being formed within our expanding Olivier community here in the UK. Exciting times lie ahead.

How it all began…………….

The story of Olivier in the UK did not really begin in 2007 when we first made the range of Olivier Soaps and Skincare products available in the UK. Our tale of soap and skincare is rather firmly rooted in the intrigue of individuals.

Our account began years ago. Sisters, Natasha and Carrie, the driving power behind Olivier in the UK, left their North American home. Their journey inadvertently invited Olivier from the Eastern Canada to the British Isles.

Carrie’s eye for all things aesthetic found her transported to the historic beauty of Edinburgh to design theatrical costume. It was here in Scotland that she met Rob, a local lad, who would give her more than a little incentive to stay in Scotland.

A couple of years later Natasha, searching for new adventures, followed suit. While here Charlie, another native, was introduced. Natasha then found herself sticking around too.

The spirit of love and adventure were shared by these sisters and their new found companions in this opening chapter.

Since the emergence of such successful transatlantic relations, a decade has passed which has seen a couple of marriages and a gaggle of children who have since followed.

The soap and skincare came later. During one of the ladies trips back home to Canada’s Eastern Seaboard an exciting discovery was made. This finding was, of course, the Olivier Soapery. After becoming acquainted with Olivier it was clear to Natasha and Carrie that the Olivier range was quite unlike anything they had experienced before. The quality and effect of these skincare products was too good to saved for occasional trips home.

Upon returning to the UK enquiries were made and now, with a sense of excitement we are proud to present to our friends the full Olivier experience with access to the complete range of these beautiful, hand made, all natural products.

The individuals in our story are real as is their commitment to share with you their journey, providing an experience that you will find invigorating, fresh and unique.

This preamble doesn’t even scratch the surface. It only really sets the scene. Future posts will more suitably outline the day to day and week to week of the eventful happenings, including some dips into the past.
